| 2009 USC Panhellenic Board Mission Statement |
Let it be known that the 2009 Panhellenic Council is committed to collectively act as a role model for both the Panhellenic and university communities.
We will strive to empower women to discover their fullest potential through continued community involvement, interfraternal collaboration, and academic dedication. We encourage each chapter member to cultivate her strengths while recognizing herself as a part of a greater sisterhood dedicated to ethical principles, integrity, and self-respect.
The 2008 Panhellenic Council is resolved to motivate our members to meet these higher standards, creating a unified, multi-faceted Greek community that mirrors the Mission Statement and Code of Ethics set forth by the University of Southern California. |

| What is PHC? |
|
The Panhellenic Council represents the ten chapters of the National Panhellenic Conference that are chartered at the University of Southern California.
The Panhellenic Council is the coordinating body for activities that promote the common interests of all the sororities on USC's campus. Panhellenic offers a wide variety of programs for members ranging from networking opportunities, job fairs, sorority sports, educational programs and community service activities. The Panhellenic Council also sponsors and coordinates USC's Sorority Recruitment program.
Panhellenic is the unifying, governing, and coordinating body of the sorority community. As the communication link between the sororities, campus organizations, and community leaders, Panhellenic serves a multitude of purposes.
Through programming, the Panhellenic Council seeks to provide personal enrichment and knowledge to all Greek members. Panhellenic's influence is a crucial part of the university, promoting a stronger Greek community.

| Sisterhood |
| One of the greatest advantages of greek life is the sisterhood that links you with the other members of your chapter. These lifelong friendships create numerous opportunities for networking and social interaction. |

| Philanthropy |
| Greeks exemplify the Trojan spirit by donating their time, money, and effort to benefit others. Each fraternity and sorority hosts events to raise moeny for their chapter's chosen philanthropy. Tournament events have included games fo basketball, flag football, soccer, and volleyball. The Panhellenic Council often joins forces with the Interfraternity Council to put on Greek-wide fundraisers and donation drives. Our community also hosts events such as the annual Halloween Carnival for the neighborhood children. Philanthropies serve as a great way to unite the community while helping those in need. |

| Scholarship |
| USC greeks are driven to succeed in the classroom. In fact, the overall sorority GPA is consistently higher than the all-university and all-women's GPA. To ensure academic growth, each chapter has its own faculty academic advisor, peer mentoring program, and workshops on time management, study habits, and career planning. |

| Social Development |
While sororities at USC offer amazing opportunities in academics, community service, and leadership, the Greek experience also enables its members to develop a fulfilling social life. Through joining a sorority, Trojans can achieve a proper balance between social and academic values and activities. The Greek community gives its memebrs the chance to meet different people and develop strong, lasting relationships. These bonds are created and strengthened through a wide range of social activities such as invites, exchanges, ice cream socials, football games, and formal Monday night dinners.
At invites, greek members ask a date to join them at their sorority or fraternity-sponsored events, and have a great time dancing and socializing with members of their own chapters, as well as with their dates. Exchanges offer a different social experience for sorority and fraternity members. Exchanges are often theme-oriented and bring together a specific sorority and fraternity, which resutls in Greeks cultivating a diverse web of friends and acquaintances. Monday night dinners occur weekly and are especially important to the USC Greek tradition. This is a great opportunity to communicate with other sororites and fraternites through deliveries of gifts and cards while enjoying a fun-filled dinner with your sisters. |
